chronological day 51 :)

Good morning, friend! Please read Leviticus 12, 13, and 14:1-32, and let’s visit!

Unknown

God made allowances for everyone, so regardless of their financial status everyone could make the necessary offerings (like “If she can’t afford a lamb, she can bring two doves or two pigeons” 12:8 MSG). He is so kind to us, patient with all. Do you see how He is always making a way for us?

Sidenote: I find it a little funny that the priest could quarantine someone for up to 14 days, and then decide it was just a harmless rash after all!

I am fixing to sit down and make my time for Bible reading and just read Jennifer’s side note. Now the anticipation has set it to read this funny moment. Will get back to you in 30 minutes after reading and meditating on it.

There was a lot to soak in with today’s reading. First of all chapter 12 was quick and to the point. Chapter 13 was long and detailed. So rightly that I was intrigued with the process of cleansing and of investigating the certain diseases the priest were trained to look for.
Leviticus 13:33, “the person must shave off all hair except the hair in the infected area”.
After the person is deemed clean they shall be bathe and called clean by saying “you are clean”.
Some of the rituals are time lasting in order to determine the persons illness/outcome.
Today’s takeaway: when we come to GOD we know we are hurting and broken at times, that’s ok. Today’s standards don’t require a sacrifice or offering of an animal. Just offer ourselves to the lord. I give myself to you today Lord, light up my path and guide me to cleanliness.
