chronological day 49 :)

Please read Leviticus 7 and 8, and come on back.  Anything stand out to you today as you read?  I’d love to hear it!

I like reading names like Moses and Aaron in the midst of all of these laws . It makes it seem a little more personal somehow, like they are friends of ours.

“Moses spoke to Aaron and his sons….. ‘Be sure to do what God requires, lest you die. This is what I have been commanded.’ Aaron and his sons did everything that God had commanded by Moses” (Leviticus 8:35-36 MSG)

I know it sounds extreme to us today to mention death in connection with disobedience… Is it really all that serious?  Friend, it is that serious – God knows so much more than we do, and He loves us so much! Let His love for you motivate obedience from you.

See you tomorrow!

  1. Ralph Madrigal says:

The ceremony held in chapter 8 for Aaron and his sons was held publicly. They were washed, dressed and anointing oil poured on their heads. To be cleaned in such a manner to me represents the baptismal. What a beautiful thought to be chosen by GOD and be set apart from the rest of society. When reading the previous chapters where instructions were given on how to build the tabernacle I did not know the importance of the usuage. This man made tent of hide, wood and metals was a vessel that introduced people to GOD. Today’s takeaway: whether at church, CR, in a tent or in a Courtyard, GOD is there. We just have to seek him. In Jeremiah 29:13 it reads “You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.” I wake every morning these days seeking the Lords approval making sure I do right. Thank GOD for Jesus because I don’t have to do a sin offering this morning.
